General Description

The family Gammaflexiviridae was created to classify a filamentous mycovirus that is phylogenetically related to the plant viruses in the families Alphaflexiviridae and Betaflexiviridae.

Morphology

Virions filamentous, not enveloped, about 720 nm long and 12-13 nm in diameter.

Genomen

Monopartite, linear, polyadenylated ssRNA of 6.5-7.0 kb.
